Euro-Office WASM ================ This work packages the Euro-Office document editors to run in a web browser, with the document converter compiled to WebAssembly, and connects them either to an in-browser emulation of the Document Server protocol or to a real Euro-Office / ONLYOFFICE-compatible Document Server. It is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3 (see LICENSE). If you run a modified version for users over a network, you must offer them its complete corresponding source (AGPL section 13). 1. Euro-Office editors (sdkjs, web-apps), fonts, templates, dictionaries ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Source: https://github.com/Euro-Office/sdkjs https://github.com/Euro-Office/web-apps https://github.com/Euro-Office/DocumentServer Euro-Office is a fork of the ONLYOFFICE editors. See the License terms at http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode The editors are taken unmodified from the published Euro-Office Document Server image (versions.env, EO_IMAGE). The only change made to them is Section 5(a)-relevant and is this: * sdkjs//sdk-all-min.js -- src/bridge/eo-wasm-bridge.js (this repository) is appended to the file. It replaces the transport the editor uses to reach a Document Server (AscCommon.getSocketIO and the XHRs to the server's /downloadas, /upload, ... endpoints) and nothing else. See README.md, "How it works". * web-apps/apps/api/documents/api.js -- the versioned path prefix (/-/) the Document Server's nginx strips is turned off, so the editor loads from a plain static host. Fonts, document templates and spelling dictionaries keep the licenses they are distributed under in the Euro-Office packages. 2. x2t converter (WebAssembly) ------------------------------ x2t is part of Euro-Office core / ONLYOFFICE core (AGPL-3.0, Ascensio System SIA and Euro-Office contributors), compiled to WebAssembly with Emscripten. * X2T_SOURCE=build: built by x2t/build.sh from https://github.com/Euro-Office/core with the Emscripten recipe and source changes of https://github.com/cryptpad/onlyoffice-x2t-wasm (AGPL-3.0). * X2T_SOURCE=release: the binary published by https://github.com/cryptpad/onlyoffice-x2t-wasm, built from ONLYOFFICE core 9.3 (https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/core) with the same recipe. eo-wasm/X2T-SOURCE.txt in a build names the exact source it contains. 3. Prior art ------------ The approach of running the ONLYOFFICE editors without a document server and converting with x2t in WebAssembly follows https://github.com/ranuts/document (AGPL-3.0), and before it https://github.com/Qihoo360/se-office and https://github.com/sweetwisdom/onlyoffice-web-local. No code is copied from those projects; this work talks to the editors through the Document Server protocol instead of an offline build of them. ONLYOFFICE is a trademark of Ascensio System SIA.
